Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Green Vegan Assistant ("the App") handles information when you use the mobile application and its companion backend at https://api.veganhelper.online. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
Green Vegan Assistant helps you log plant-based meals, check ingredients, follow daily challenges, and save recipes. Nutrition figures and ingredient verdicts are guidance, not medical, dietary, or professional advice.

Information we process
The App uses a device-generated identifier as its only server-side identity. There is no account and no password. On the device we store meals you log, ingredient notes, saved recipes, challenge history, reminder settings, and game scores. The backend receives the anonymous device identifier together with daily-challenge completion records so a challenge can be marked done. The ingredient dictionary and challenge texts are content, not personal data. If you allow notifications, push device tokens are processed by OneSignal. The in-app contact form is not uploaded to our servers.
How we use information
We use this information to operate the App: show your meals and streaks on the device, deliver the ingredient dictionary and daily challenges, record which challenges this device completed, and deliver push notifications you allow. We do not sell personal data.
Storage and retention
Meals, notes, saved recipes, reminder settings, and game scores stay on your device. Challenge completion records are stored on our servers under your anonymous device identifier and are kept so the completion state stays consistent. You can remove local records at any time from Profile using Clear All Data. That action does not delete server-side challenge completions. For deletion of server-side data, contact the developer at the email above.
Push notifications
If you grant notification permission, the App may register with Apple Push Notification service through OneSignal so we can send alerts. You can revoke permission at any time in iOS Settings. Local meal and challenge reminders are scheduled on the device and do not require our servers.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. We may use infrastructure providers (hosting and push delivery) strictly to run the service. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of the App and its users.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Your choices
You may stop using the App at any time. You may clear local data via Clear All Data. You may decline or disable push notifications. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the developer at the email above.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when changes are published. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
